How to Become a Better Cook?

Cooking is an art, just like you hold the brush to paint to put a stroke of color on the canvas, you have to hold your spoon or ladle in a way so that you can bring the taste into the dish you are preparing.

So many people these days have been detached with this art as they mostly rely on take-out foods and home delivery. This is no crime after all because time has been a serious thing and most people are working day and night. So apparently they have less time to prepare fresh food for themselves or their family. Then again, the wish to have fresh, homemade food can come to your mind. So, to grant you that wish, here check the tips to become a better cook.

  1. Knife skills

You have seen how the chefs chop veggies and even meat so efficiently that sometimes you wish to have the same with your fingers. You must have tried to do so, but you ended up chopping a good part of your finger. You have stopped attempting since then. The first thing to this is, don’t be scared and try not to lose hope. If you use a wider blade and put your thumb and index finger on to the sides of the blade, you will learn the technique easily. This angle will give you the best access to chopping properly and your fingers will be saved to. Also, when to enroll in Indian cooking classes, they will teach the better method.

  1. Fresh ingredients

Try not to start cooking with two days or a week old ingredient, this will not only make the food taste bad, and they will not give you the color you wanted. You will also have problems cutting the veggies or meat. So, always go for the best and fresh supply. Such as, if you use homemade breadcrumbs instead of packaged ones, it will give you the best taste of the fried food.

  1. Use hand

This is important when you are cooking meat. You must check the steak on the skillet by your fingers and see if that is moist enough or not. If you don’t know the level, learn the palm pressing technique for rare, medium-rare, and wholly cooked meat. This will help you the best way possible. This thing is also taught in, India cooking class.

  1. Use kosher or sea salt

These salt types bring the best flavor in the food items than the normal one. These are capable of making the platter delicious only with a pinch. The ordinary food will turn different in taste by these.

  1. Enough space in the skillet

When you are frying something in the skillet, you must avoid crowding the space putting too much ingredient in it. If you do so, the frying will not be proper, and some parts may stay raw.

  1. Add vinegar or lemon

When the dish is about to complete add a splash of vinegar or lemon on the food. The slight tangy taste will make the food delicious.

Learn the best cooking tips only from a cooking school, as they will teach you the original technique of baking, frying and even boiling.
