Videos that are being recorded by many of the Arlo smart security cameras get saved to cloud database automatically. Apart from the cloud storage, users can insert a micro SD card to their Arlo device for saving the video file easily. After Arlo setup, the SD card users can refer to some below-mentioned arlo setup process for streaming the recorded files that are saved into the memory card.
If you have a slow and sluggish internet connection, the saved video files to the cloud storage can be interrupted. While there is a lack of internet connectivity, the Netgear Arlo pro login camera won’t be able to save the recorded files. Make sure that you have continuous and uninterrupted internet connection because due to slow internet connectivity, the filed that are recorded will get discarded.
So, to prevent such kind of issue when there no internet connection, it is advised to install a micro SD card. Installation of a micro SD storage card will behave like a local backup which will allow users to access their recorded files whenever they want without any issue.
You can easily install the micro SD card by inserting it in the memory card slot that is situated behind your Arlo security camera. Prior to inserting the SD card, ensure to take out the camera battery – insert the memory card – put the battery back to its place and close the battery compartment properly.
Access your Arlo login my account either by Arlo app or arlo.com login page. As soon as your Arlo sign in account loads up, find the “Settings” and click on it. Then, within the “Settings” menu, click on “My Devices” and after that, click on the “Local Storage” option.
Check whether there is a green dot available in front of the SD card or not. In case, the green circle exists, it means the SD card has been successfully installed. Once the memory card is installed successfully your Arlo camera will start saving videos.
Note: The SD card isn’t a substitute for cloud storage, it is as an additional storage space.
