Thai Industrial Standardization Institute Certification, or more popularly known as the TISI Certification, is the procedure of licensing any new product or service in Thailand in accordance with the national and also international standards set forth by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC).<\/p>\n

Coming into effect in the year 1969, TISI Certification<\/strong><\/a> has been governed by an independent body, the Industrial Product Council, affiliated to the Ministry of Industry in Thailand, and responsible for regulating the policies and procedure.<\/p>\n
For any new electrical or electronic product being launched in the markets of Thailand TISI Certification is a must as it affirms that the product meets every technical, safety, and environmental constraints. Thailand TISI Certification is primarily of two types, the Voluntary Certification Mark and the Mandatory Certification Mark, both of which affirm that the product is tested and carries the TISI approval for meeting the basic industrial standards.<\/p>
